
It's Red Ribbon Week! Elementary students are invited to participate in Dress Up Days beginning Wednesday, October 28th. Red Ribbon Week is sponsored by Team EPIC.


As our days are cooler, please be certain students bring their WEATHER WISE gear to school!



Third and fourth grade students are celebrating the autumn season and science by decorating and displaying pumpkins outside the elementary entrance. Drive by the school and take a peek at their Pumpkin Festival 2020 creations.


Students will have Fall Break next week. There is no school for students Wednesday, October 14th - Friday, October 16th.

Canoes were a form of transportation and food gathering devices for early settlers in Warroad. Sixth graders' Minnesota History lesson today was a canoe excursion on the Warroad River.

Please note that October 14th is now a teacher workshop day, meaning no school for students. Also, beginning October 21st and following all Wednesday early-outs, students will be dismissed at 1 p.m. for the remainder of the school year.

Third grade students designed, built, and tested their very own Egg Protection Devices! Many videos were shared with teachers showing uncooked eggs surviving falls. Thanks for taking the DIY Egg Drop Challenge, 3rd graders!



6th grade learners participated in a Minnesota History/Science lesson in which bear fat was rendered, potatoes sliced and fried, and taste testing of homemade fries occurred in an outdoor learning space.





ALL WPS students will get FREE meals starting Monday, September 14th! The USDA has extended their summer Meal Program for all students and as a result, meals will be provided at no charge until the end of December 2020 or until funding runs out. Please note if additional milk is taken, families will be charged. Also, we may have to return to charging for meals with little notice. We will update you as quickly as possible when this change takes place.
