Thank you to everyone who stopped by our Native American pop-up booth at last night's varsity game, we are overjoyed with all the wonderful compliments, congratulatory remarks and support... It was a huge success! All proceeds from each item sold goes back to the Native American program here at Warroad School.

The Smokey Hill Drum Singers visited Warroad School & the seats were packed!!
Thank you to everyone that came out to celebrate Native American Heritage month at Warroad School - The performances by the Smokey Hill Drum Singers was a wonderful & heartfelt display of our beautiful Native American culture here in Warroad.
Next week Tuesday, Nov. 28th the "Smokie Hill" drum singers with be visiting Warroad School to perform traditional drum singing presentations for all of our students and staff. We welcome all community members as well to this wonderful performance to help us close out celebrating Native American Heritage month here at Warroad School.

Last weekend, 5 Student Council members attended the state Fall Leadership Summit. They built Mental Health First Aid Kits, spent time with Emotional Support Animals, and learned about exciting events to bring back to WHS. Katherine and Esza also presented to all 580 attendees.
Last week the Outdoor Science elective class had the opportunity to learn about forestry and logging in class and with the MN DNR. They completed a tree population study to learn the desired densities of different tree species at the school forest. Thanks to the MN DNR for helping give our kids this hands on chance to learn!
Last week 17 Student Council members and advisor Miss Ashley attended the 2023 NW District Fall Summit at Bemidji State University. These students spent the day learning about authentic leadership, how they can make a difference, and left with a handful of new fun ideas for WPS!
Check out Mrs. Andersen's 7th graders having fun in science learning about the invertebrates that swim in the Warroad River and how important they are to that habitat.

Spring 2023 MCA test score reports for high school students can be picked up tonight during parent/teacher conferences in the high school office. Test reports not picked up tonight will be sent home with students during homeroom at a later date.

As a reminder, Warroad Schools will operate with a 1:00 PM early dismissal tomorrow, Friday, September 29, 2023. Kid Kare will be available beginning at 1:00 PM. After school sports practices will begin at 4 PM.
Anyone who ordered an orange shirt from the Indigenous Education Department in support of their "Orange Shirt Awareness" initiative, they are ready to be picked up in the Indigenous Education Department today and tomorrow during school hours. Thank you all for your support!
